Composition
Each gram contains:
Desonide 0.5 mg
Neomycin sulphate 5 mg

Description
Apolar-N is the drug of choice for the treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin disease and pruritus when complicated by infections or when there is a risk of infection.
Apolar-N contains desonide, a new potent corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties.
Neomycin, has a wide spectrum of antibacterial action againts most gram-negative and gram-positive organisms. Neomycin rarely causes resistant strains of microorganisms and it is non toxic for human epithelial cells.
Neomycin is not affected by blood, exudates or by products of bacterial growth.
Apolar-N is suitable for topical application as cream for the treatment of infected skin disease. Several patients derived greater benefit from Apolar-N which is able to heal or alleviate the condition. In the treatment of infected burns the combination of Apolar-N has a very good effect on the prevention of scars.
Apolar-N cream is colourless, odourless and acceptable from a cosmetic point of view.

Indications
Infected dermatitis caused by microorganisms which is sensitive to Neomycin sulphate.

Contra Indications
Hypersensitivity to Apolar-N components

Hypersensitive reaction
Other reactions such irritation, burning sensation, itching and dryness of the skin especially on the covered skin area

Precautions
Topical steroid preparations should not be used in herpes simplex, varicellae, skin tuberculosis dermatitis caused by syphillis, and skin ulcers.
Apolar-N is not indicated for the treatment of large areas of the skin when steroid preparations are used for a long period of time especially in babies and children.
Long term treatment should be avoided, due to possible growth of resistant microorganisms or fungi. In the occurence of new infection which is caused by resistant microorganisms or fungi, please consult your physician.
Stop the treatment if irritation happens.

Application
Apply a small quantity of Apolar-N cream two to three times daily to the affected part and massage gently.
