Desonide

Composition
Each gram contains:
Desonide 0.5 mg

Description
Apolar contains desonide, a potent corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties, anti allergy and anti pruritus.
Apolar cream is highly acceptable from a cosmetic point of view, and is colourless and odourless.

Indications
Dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis and various forms of dermatitis, psoriasis, urticaria, pruritus ani and vulvae

Contra Indications and precautions
Topical steroid preparations should not be used in herpes simplex, varicellae, skin tuberculosis, dermatitis caused by syphilis, and skin ulcers.
Apolar is not indicated for the treatment of the eye.
Care should be taken in the treatment of large areas of the skin when steroid preparations are used for a long period of time especially in babies and children

Side effects
Mostly occur on skin covered by tight clothes as irritation, burning sensation etc.

Application
Apply a small quantity of Apolar two to three times daily to the affected part and massage gently.
